Convert To Paths

Convert To Paths

Many objects such as lines, shapes, rectangles, and even text, can be converted into paths using the Path -> Convert to Paths menu option.

Once a shape is converted to a path, it no longer has its shape metadata (for example, you can no longer change the number of sides on a regular polygon). However you can now edit it like you would edit any other path in McKinley.

Implicit Conversion

Some operations in McKinley which can only work on paths, will implicitly convert their target objects into paths before applying:

Note that all these implicit operations do not automatically apply to text. If you want to use them with text, manually convert the text to paths first. Text never gets implicitly converted to paths.
